“OPAQUE.CLIP LaLaport TOKYO-BAY Store” to Offer a New Cosmetics Category, New York City Skincare Brand “KIEHL’S SINCE 1851,” Starting November 16
World Co., Ltd. will start offering New York City skincare brand “KIEHL’S SINCE 1851” at the “OPAQUE.CLIP LaLaport TOKYO-BAY Store” from November 16.

OPAQUE.CLIP targets women in their 20s as a “beautiful life and style” store that offers an assortment of apparel, fashion accessories and daily necessities all based on the key concept of “adding a touch of class and quality to your everyday life.” As of October 2012, there are 44 stores in station buildings, fashion buildings and shopping centers nationwide. The “OPAQUE.CLIP LaLaport TOKYO-BAY Store” opened in 2002, and to coincide with the autumn renewal of the entire building, the store reopened on September 14 with twice as much floor space after moving to the South Mall’s first floor. On November 16, OPAQUE.CLIP will enter the second phase of its reopening by offering KIEHL’s products.

Although most of KIEHL’S stores are in Europe and the United States, in recent years the brand has been sold in the Asian region, including in China and South Korea. Japan currently has 13 KIEHL’S stores, which include one that opened in Harajuku in August, another that opened in the Tamagawa Takashimaya S•C in September and others mainly located in department stores. By opening its first shop-in-shop in Japan, KIEHL’S will test its approach with a new customer base while retaining its worldview.
